The 16th Asean ORL-HNS and Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University pleasure to invite you to the Hand-on Endoscopic ear surgery course which will be held on the 10th November 2015 at Cardaveric Surgical Training Center, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Endoscopic ear surgery has been more popular in these past few years with developed technology of the high definition HD CCD. The endoscope with HD CCD provides sharpened quality images and varieties of angle views of the middle ear, mastoid, and the inner ear. Compared to the traditional binocular microscope; with its clearer view, wider angle to explore the ear, smaller incision, otologic surgeons archive more impressed experience. Training is required to improve surgeon’s skill, get familiar with the different endoscopic view, and its special instruments.

Pre-congress 16th ASEAB ORL-HNS offers one day cadaveric workshop. The course includes both theory and practice on endoscopic ear surgery, recommended for starting otologic surgeon. Asst. Prof. João Flávio Nogueira, one of the pioneer and experts in endoscopic ear surgery is the keynote lecturer of this course. He will also demonstrate the surgical techniques and share his experiences. The lecture covers the endoscopic middle ear anatomy and endoscopic surgical management of the middle ear diseases. Hands on fresh cadaveric dissection, with the use of high definition endoscopic equipment (Karl Storz) will provide the great experience for new trainers.
